8B0 Entertainment is a YouTube channel featuring all our content uncensored as well as exclusive new shows and films; all access provided to patrons by private link through Patron.com.

Doug Reed is a cartoonist, musician, voice artist, and writer/producer with over 20 years of experience. All programming on our YouTube channels are created and produced by Doug Reed who is also responsible for all artwork, backgrounds, music, voices, and editing.

He started drawing cartoons at age 15 in August of 2003 around an idea for an animated sitcom called Improving Looey Backster starring Looey, his wife Fran, and their dog Doug. Since then he's been scribbling cartoons and caricatures until 2017 when he created The Doug Reed Show, a sketch-type/variety program based on an old idea he had from 2008 hosted by talkshow host and television personality Ted Buckman. From there several shows have been created in addition to build a self-made network to house them all for public entertainment and in 2023, SHMOPE TV officially launched.

His hope is to create a fanbase large enough to help SHMOPE TV grow by inviting his followers to support him on Patreon in turn funding and producing more original content on a regular basis, funding for a online store for fans to shop and purchase relevant products, funding an account that may be used to hire new talent, staff, and equipment to continue to produce one-of-a-kind unique content for everyone to enjoy.

All cartoons are made at the studio located at the home of creator Doug Reed who is also the only person on staff in each department.

First, once an idea is formed, a script is written in either a full screenplay or list of sequential prompts. Then a storyboard based on the script is drawn up as a guide on how to film. This first part of the process may take a few hours.

Art production may take 1-2 days depending on the number of cast members, props, and backgrounds appropriate for the content. The actors are flat, hand-drawn puppets held and moved in front of a hand-drawn or crafted background or green screen and filmed by iPhone's camera function.

Voiceovers are recorded either simultaneously with the action or recored separately first and synced over the filmed action. Most of the sequences produced follow a similar production method as Nickelodeon's Stick Stickly on Nick in the Afternoon from the 1990s.  Filming will usually be completed from a matter of hours to a couple of days.

All of the music composed for production is original. Mostly, this department uses a Casio keyboard.

Editing is the hardest part and can take a few days to complete. Currently SHMOPE TV uses iMovie, Photoshop, and Videoleap.

Production budget is extremely low by other networks' standards but we make do with what resources we have to bring vision to fruition. The ultimate goal is to gain funding to afford to sustain production needs giving us more time to produce quality content for our fans.

SHMOPE TV's studio and office are located in Marietta, Ohio, USA.

SHMOPE TV will continue to produce new content at our current pace. This is mostly due to the fact that creator Doug Reed works a full-time job to support himself and juggles his personal time off with his efforts in content production.
